Alright here is, as promised, another Character Art for my ORIGINAL branch of Magis. XD This one is Trinity Wilder, sister (technically half-sister) of Trace Wilder, which is why I put her up before the other male star character. X3 I'm especially fond of this character because she's a girl who has spunk and determination and is a little immature, but capable of kindness all the same. Even though most of the dialogue I have for her are insults.... XD
The little critter on her knee there is Karu, a creature of my creation even though it probably looks rather generic. She is a "Nekofox", or more literally a cat-fox. For those of you who know about the typical way Japanese anime and manga draw mystic cats and foxes, you probably noticed the elongated ears and two-tails and are able to make the connection between the two animals. For those not familiar, traditionally in Anime and Manga foxes are drawn with long ears and cats sometimes have two tails representing their magic power. Karu, as you might have guessed, is Trinity's furry companion and the protagonist team's mascot. I figured every good manga has an adorable lovable Mascot! XDD
Side Note: Although it makes her look like a rabbit, I made Karu white as a reference to my pet cat, Snowflake, who is white (mostly XD) who I luff x33 ♥
Anyways, obviously Trinity's theme is the number three, or things dealing with the number three(3). You can't see it and I took out the awful doodle depicting it (since it was distracting with it's ugliness XD) but on the back of her neck is a scar that looks like the three circles behind Trinity's name on the picture. I won't tell you how she got it but it becomes a piece to a vital part in my Manga, I will leave you with that much aren't I a tease? Another theme for her is obviously the color blue. I also added splashes of yellow and red (the part of her jacket on the side and the rope on her dagger's sheath, respectively) to add more color, but also (and majorly the reason) to give a more subtle emphasis on her theme with the number three by using the three primary colors, blue, red, and yellow. This also is a subtle recurring theme with her and her outfits.
Before I make this description too much longer, I'll throw in a few other little tidbits you might find interesting: Trinity's hair is black, as you can see, while her older half-brother's hair, Trace's, is white. Believe it or not I have logical reason for this. (I know, me logical? SHOCKER!! XD) I did it to subtly emphasize their nearly completely opposite personalities and also something Trace [will] say in the Manga about the two of them being like Yin and Yang (darkness and light, respectively. Please don't kill me if I'm wrong, I blame wikipedia! XDD) which are represented by the colors black and white as seen in the Chinese Symbol of Balance.
Anyways I'll leave it at that now since I've already made you read way too much and you probably hate me right now XDDD As always comments and feedback are appreciated! I will hopefully have more up within the next week!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This contest ends on Friday the 18th December 2009. If you want to enter, get your entries in quick! Here are all the entries so far. Also if you want to donate a prize, that would be fantastic too, just note me
